Oh, how we clamor
For those first signs of spring!
With eagle eyes
We search the skies
And herald the news
When the first robin arrives.
Oh, how we cheer-up
On those first balmy days!
Like restless colts
We bolt outdoors
Galloping along
Burbling paths where snowdrops soar.
Oh, there’s magic in
Those early hints from spring.
They kiss away
Our winter blues
And cast gypsy spells
To awaken dreams anew.
Ah, this piece is like a tonic. We were having a taste of spring the past couple of weeks in our area, and then winter (and snow!) returned today. Your poetry brings me hope. 🙂

I love spring and hopefully it will find it’s way to your neck of the woods soon.

Omgoodness this is a perfect view on spring! And I did every one of those things. The warmth and sunshine is such a delightful friend to welcome in March. Love this poem, awesome job Kate.
