About Kate

Twilight is the smile that hovers between day and night. It’s the time when the world slows down and relaxes, the birds chirp their evening songs, the eastern sky turns a soft blue with touches of pink and the sea becomes calm. Serenity and peace seeps into our souls.  It happens to be my favorite time of the day.

That’s me in the picture, walking along our nearby beach with the full moon rising.

My best friend, who also happens to be my Hubby and I live in the outskirts of picturesque Victoria British Columbia, Canada.  Having left the corporate world behind a few years ago, we are both happy working out of our home offices. Life is simpler somehow.  It’s easier to find time for yoga, for volunteering in our local community and enjoying the arts, the beauty and the finer things that life has to offer us. Our daily rhythm is like a steady deep flowing river meandering through the thickets of a forest with ease and grace.

Writing this blog is something I do because it completes me in some way; it makes me happy.  I even adopted a pen name of Kate Spencer for it, a character in my Hubby’s book modeled after me.  Writing is a hobby; not a job.  I write when I’m inspired and when life takes over, and it does, then I take a pause…

I invite you to come and dance through the daisies with me – we all need to do that once in a while.   And then join me in the evenings, as we curl up in large russet chairs by my fireplace and reflect upon life and our simple pleasures.

Let’s chat, connect and share.
