Liebster Award

The Liebester has German origins. The word “liebster” has several definitions: dearest, sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued. In the current context, this award recognizes bloggers who share their story or thoughts in a beautiful manner to connect with their viewers and followers.

I am honored to be nominated for the Liebster Award and want to thank Phoenix Grey   for this incredible nomination. I’m grateful and heartened to be recognized for my posts.

And here are the steps I need to take:
• Post the award on my blog
• Thank the blogger who presented this award and link back to their blog
• Write 11 random facts about myself
• Nominate 11 bloggers who I feel deserve this award and who have less than 200 followers.  I just did 5; I discovered that others on my list were all nominated in the past couple of days.   I’ll have to go searching for more awesome bloggers. 😉
• Answer 11 questions posted by the presenter and ask my nominees 11 questions.

11 Questions from Phoenix:

1. Why did you start blogging?
So I can have more than 140 characters with which to express my thoughts about things I’m passionate about.

2. What is your happiest memory from this past year?
I have too many to choose from.

3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Right here. I love that I live in my vacation destination.

4. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Christmas Dinner – it’s festive, the house and table are beautifully decorated, the food is always spectacular and I love sharing it with family and friends.

5. What is the one thing that you cannot leave the house without?
My shoes.

6. Have you ever been told that you look like a celebrity? If so, which one?
Somebody told me once that I reminded them of Doris Day.

7. What is your dream job?
Inspiring and motivating people.

8. If you could be any fictional character, who would it be and why?
I assumed this was to be a fictional character in literature. When I was growing up, one of my favorite characters was Anne Shirley, from the Anne of Green Gables series. Anne is imaginative, ambitious, competitive and intelligent and she makes the best of bad situations. She is not afraid to speak her mind or stand up for herself and she does all this with kindness and grace.

9. What would your superpower be?
Either slow down time or add extra hours to a day.

10. What do you miss most about being a kid?
That feeling that time meant nothing: spending a lazy day, all day, lying on the beach, swimming, playing cards, reading a book and munching on cookies and chips.

11.What would the title of your autobiography be?
A Work in Progress.

My 11 questions:
1. Why did you start blogging?
2. What is one thing that always makes you happy?

5. Do you have a favorite reading spot? If so, where at and why?
6. Have you ever been told that you look like a celebrity? If so, which one?
7. What is your dream job?
8. If you could be any fictional character, who would it be?
9. What would your superpower be?
10. You are given a shopping spree at any store, where do you choose to go?
