No more pencils.
No more books.
No more teachers
Dirty looks.
School is over.
School is done.
We can stop learning
And start having fun.
I feel just like those kids in the picture – summer is here and it’s time for a break!
I don’t know about you, but I find it very challenging to sit at a desk when my legs are always itching to be outdoors in the sunshine. Living in a tourist town, there are so many things to do and places to go! And when those dog days of summer hit, I get real lazy: my eyes become droopy, my limbs turn to jelly, and my mind becomes mushy. The only thing left to do is nap in the hammock under the shade of a tree.
I had the luxury of ‘taking the summer off’ for the first time ever last year. I enjoyed it so much; I’ve decided to do it again. What this means is:
No more to do lists; no more schedules.
And if you call – sorry I’ll be gone.
I’ll be golfing, or shopping, or lunching, or walking –
And I won’t be getting up in the mornings until well after dawn.
Any blog posts I write will be weather and inspiration dependent – know that if I post something, it’s because our weather turned cool and it’s raining outside. So until then…
Happy summer everyone!
Sorry, that you’ll receive this late: http://surprisinglives.net/2015/07/28/received-a-blog-award/ 🙂
